So, for my very first food and drink review I wanted to try something special. Something I've heard of and longed to try for a while now, and only just managed to come across: Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. Being in the UK I've found it difficult for various reasons to run across a bottle of this in my area, but now I have my hands on one, let's see what it's like.
Opening this beer one thing immediately hits me - the lovely roasty toasty smell, accompanied by the scent of toffee/caramel and chocolate. Off to a rousing start.
As I poured this into my glass, I noticed its colour is very dark, very very dark, with a small caramel coloured head which soon disappears.
This beer goes down very nicely, feely absolutely silky smooth in the mouth, and as for the taste, well - how does dark, malty, bitter, chocolate, nutty, roasty toasty deliciousness sound to you? Finishes off with an alcoholic kick that'll definitely get you if you're not an alcohol drinker. It is 10% ABV after all!
By the way, this beer gets an overall Beer Advocate score of 93. That right there should tell you something about how good it is. Well, now that I've described this to you all, I'm off to enjoy finishing my glass of beer. See you all next time and if you have any suggestions to food and/or drink I should try then leave a comment below. If you have any suggestions on what I could do to improve my reviews, leave those comments below too. Thanks for reading!
