Double whammy of drinks this week as I have a look at (and a taste of) Marley's Mellow Mood Lite Mango flavour and a drink called "Nice Tea" by Fitella.
Let's start with the Marley's Mellow mood shall we? I've seen this one around before in places and tried it a few years ago, but I've never seen this particular flavour before and didn't know it came in a "lite" variety. The can itself promises this is a "natural relaxation" drink (as opposed to an energy drink I suppose), and contains herbal extracts such as rose hip and chamomile.

The drink smelt a lot like mango when I opened it up, with a subtle smell under that which I can't quite put my finger on. The taste itself is rather pleasant. It's fruity, unfortunately has undercurrents of the sweeteners used to make it a "lite" drink, but they're not overpowering and the fruitiness wins. It doesn't taste overtly sweet and it has a nice mild carbonation with a slightly "thick" feel in the mouth like you'd expect from a carbonated fruit drink.
I highly recommend this if you're looking for something a little bit different. I can't comment on whether the relaxing herbs (hur hur) do their job but it's a tasty drink that I'd buy again. Thumbs up!
Next up is the "Nice Tea". This drink is green tea, aloe and cranberry flavour. I have to admit to not knowing what aloe flavour tastes like so I've got my fingers crossed this isn't completely rank. That's about all the info the can gives us and speaking of which, here she is:

Despite being a still drink, when I popped the ring pull on this can the liquid inside immediately tried to explode everywhere. Luckily the drink itself doesn't smell particularly bad. I get a nice waft of cranberries and that's about all I smell. Kind of a relief but I'm a little disappointed and expecting it to taste like cranberry juice now.
I'm going to say it right now - I don't like the taste of this drink. I think it tastes awful. However, saying that, I braved a few more sips to try to describe the taste to you.
It tastes kind of earthy-leafy at first with a tang and bitterness, possibly from the cranberries. I also got a slightly metallic aftertaste which is wholly unpleasant and the main reason I can't stand the taste of this drink. The more I drank of it the worse the flavour seemed to get, I couldn't adapt to this one at all. Not recommended. A complete thumbs down. Nice Tea is just not very nice. Would definitely recommend picking up a can of Mellow Mood if you're going to buy anything from today.
Thanks so much for reading, if you have any suggestions of food or drink for me to try, drop me a line in the comments, you can also follow me on Facebook here and Twitter here and leave me messages on there too. Have a good week and I'll be back with more food and drink reviews next Wednesday. Until next time!
